Andrew J- A Newborn Portrait Session

Friday, September 16th, 2011

“I truly believe there is nothing larger than life.”
― Uta Hagen

Each time I walk into a newborn session I am amazed by the excitement and love you can feel in the room. This tiny tiny person already feels larger than life to the family and friends around them. When I had the chance to photograph little Andrew this was exactly how I felt. So tiny and yet all you could feel was love and the beauty of this new blessing to us all overwhelming the room!

Here are just a few of my favorites…

Andrew J. thanks for welcoming me into your family and making me feel so loved and so blessed! Mom and Dad you guys are pretty great too! Congratulations!

The Corbetts on the Move!

“My home is not a place, it is people.”
―Lois McMaster Bujold

I love what I do so much because of the amazing people I get to work with. I was so tickled when I got a call from the Corbett Family wanting to do another session. This was pretty exciting to begin with but then Mom told me she wanted to do a special session at their house before they moved, I was like-I love it! Anyone who knows me, knows how sentimental I am and this was just my cup of tea! I knew this family when they were just a family of two. Now years later and two gorgeous boys later this was a big deal! This family had made lots of memories in this house and it needed to be documented so they could always look back and remember the fun and memories they had created here!

Check out just some of my favorites from this session!

Corbett family thank you again for thinking of me to capture this special time for you! Congratulations on your new home and your new memories together there!

Miss Sophie’s First Year

Monday, September 5th, 2011

“There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning.”
― Louis L’Amour

This quote really spoke to me as I was working on this blog to (finally) share some of my favorites from the the fabulous First Year Sessions that I photographed for the precious Miss Sophie! I sniffle each time I think that I will no longer get to see Miss Sophie every three months for her first year sessions, BUT this quote reminded me that this is only the beginning. Yes Miss Sophie has reached her monumental first birthday but now with all the love and fun we shared in the first year I will be invested in her future and all that joy and wonder that will bring us all. Check out the fun I have had…

Miss Sophie’s Three Month Session!

Miss Sophie’s Six Month Session!

Miss Sophie’s Nine Month Session!

And drum roll please! Her Twelve Month Session!

I am tickled to say that some of the images in her Twelve Month gallery are images of her actual first steps! Mom, Dad, and I all went nuts and I was so excited to have documented that amazing first for them! Miss Sophie keep on growing and being the sweet pea that we all know and love! We can’t wait to follow you and photograph you for years to come!

Happy Labor Day Weekend Everyone!

Eva Aycock-A Six Month Session

“A happy family is but an earlier heaven.”
― George Bernard Shaw

I love this quote! This quote makes me think of the fabulous Aycock Family.

Tom and I met the Aycocks last year at our UNC Birthing Class. Tom and I joked that this class felt like a sort of rite of passage to get us prepared (ha ha) for the big arrival of our Lila Byrd. We were lucky enough to sit beside these cool folks and hit it off day one.  Six months later I am lucky enough to photograph them and meet and LOVE this adorable little lady bug, meet Eva!

Beautiful mom and daughter images…I just love these.

Oh and Daddy could totally bring out the smiles!

A really special part to our session was when I got to photograph for Sara her little Eva in a onesie she got just for her mom to show her love unending support. It was awesome!

Grandma and all you others out there battling cancer, you rock, and we love you!

And last but not least whats better than ending our session with some fun on the swings!

Oh and this just made my day! ABP shout out on Eva’s calendar in her room. :)

Thank you Thank you Aycock Family! You guys were so much fun! I cannot wait until our next session!
