This is so true about so many things in our hurried and busy lives. I sometimes wonder where the time is going and how it is moving so much quicker these days…That is why I feel so blessed when old friends invite me into their lives to photograph the first year of their babies. This enables me to document in time the happiness and joy they are experiencing. These memories once captured, are there for them to look back on and remember…the joys, the hardships, the love, and just how worth it having a new baby truly is. My latest love affair, Miss Stella Kate.

Something that I always hold near and dear to my heart is the chance to donate to this awesome community we live in! It is so true when they say the more you give the more you will receive. I donated an ABP session to the UNC Lineberger Beach Ball Silent Auction and in the end I was the one who won. The Magnuson Family was kind enough to bid on a session with me and won! I not only got to photograph them and have an amazing session, but I made three and a half new friends that day too!

My session with Ryan and his mom and dad reminded me of this quote. Ryan was one of my first sessions back after having Lila (yes I am finally trying to catch up with my blog and where do you start at the beginning of course!). His smile greeted me when I came into his nursery and it made me remember the joy and excitement of my work.

Hello and Happy Holidays Everyone!

Sorry I have not blogged in so long but it has been non stop here at ABP trying to wrap up all my 2009 sessions and holiday orders so I can get ready for Baby Byrds arrival! Hooray! I hope you guys have enjoyed this wonderful holiday season and taken the time to relax and enjoy it all!

Over the next few weeks I hope to catch you guys up on some fun ABP sessions that I have not blogged about yet. Harper Jane Vick is a fantastic way for me to start. Photographing her and documenting how fast she is growing has brought me so much joy this year. She is pretty wonderful and makes the late night editing so much fun when I see her little smiles. ABP has photographed Miss Harper Jane every three months since her birth. You may remember her Newborn session.

This weekend a very special couple got married. I was lucky enough to do engagement pictures for Mike and Karin earlier in the year. Check out this awesome couple.

Mike and Karin are so laid back and so much fun! They brought their two beautiful dogs to our session and wanted to capture an image of them with both dogs for a Save the Date Magnet I did for them! Here is the image they picked for their magnet.
