Three is a Magic Number-The McDonald’s Maternity Session

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

“I see my path, but I don’t know where it leads. Not knowing where I’m going is what inspires me to travel it.”
―Rosalia de Castro

So when one of your very best friends is pregnant what do you do to them? Convince them to allow you photograph their maternity session on a day of a record 103 degree heat! That is love huh. In my defense we had tried several times to schedule our session but life kept getting in the way. We both were nervous if we didn’t go ahead and have our session Baby Mallory might come before the NC heat wave of 2011 would subside!

As you can see from these images, these two are more in love than ever-which is no small feat for The McDonald’s who first fell in love at the young age of 13. Click on the images below to enjoy their contagious excitement about their upcoming Baby Girl!

When you become a parent you are unsure of how life will change. (That is for sure!) The one thing you are sure of is the love and joy you already feel for your unborn child that makes it all worth entering the unknown. Carrie and Jeremy thanks for the chance to document this magical time for you guys. I am so happy you are taking the leap. Three really is a magic number, at least for now.

Amy Scott-A Maternity Session!

Monday, August 15th, 2011

“Each time of life has its own kind of love.”
— Leo Tolstoy

I love this quote. It reminds me so much of my couples when I shoot a maternity session. I have known many of my clients since I shot their engagement pictures, and to watch them grow and fall deeper and deeper in love through the years is just amazing. Now add the excitement of a new baby on the way and their love has evolved yet again to a new and beautiful place. I did not really know Amy and Andy way back when we were all just young and engaged but I have had the pleasure of getting to know them over the years and adopting them into the Byrd Family. These friends so close to being a new family of three gave me the chance to document this amazing time in their lives. I have never seen the Scotts more beautiful, glowing (well Amy not really you Andy), and in love. Check out just some of my favorites and see what you think!

Guys you better believe ABP is ready to love this new little baby with all I got! You guys enjoy this time before Baby Scott comes and enjoy being Amy and Andy before you officially become–Mom and Dad.

Love you all and thanks for a super fun session!

Mr. Jake-A Six Month Session

“Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.”
― Edna Buchanan

I love this quote! It is so true. When Tom and I moved to our neighborhood we adopted many new ‘family members’. This adorable family just happens to be one of those in our lives! This first section of this post is to share with you some adorable images from Mr. Jake’s newborn session back in December. Check out this sweet new face!

And now fast forward to his six month session! Look at how my boy has grown!

This timing of this blog worked out just perfect because today is actually Mr. Jakes’s fabulous big sisters Birthday! Happy Birthday my sweet sweet Taylor!

Thank you to the Fox Family for all of our fantastic photo sessions over the years but for also being such great friends who we love to call family! Mr. Jake I can’t wait to document the fun things you will do next!

Miss Madeline-A Newborn Session

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

“We are all born for love…It is the principle of existence, and its only end.”
— Benjamin Disraeli

Do you remember this gorgeous Maternity Session?

Well no surprise when Miss Madeline arrived she was equally as sweet and beautiful as Mom and Dad! Check out some of my favorites from Miss Madeline’s Newborn Session. Her hair makes me so happy! It reminds me of the jet black full hair my now blonde child had when she was born.  I just love it!

Believe it or not I am off this month to photograph her Three Month Session! Where does the time go! Miss Madeline I can hardly wait to get my hugs and photograph all the beautiful new things you are up to! See you all soon!
